Lindholm, Manor house in Lejre Municipality, Denmark.
Lindholm is a manor house with an extensive estate in Lejre spanning 309 hectares of farmland, pastures, and bogland. The main building displays a yellow facade with a red Mansard roof and sits west of Copenhagen.
The estate was transferred to St. Clare's Priory in Roskilde in 1330 and served for centuries as an important Danish property. In the 18th century the von Plessen family established a Fideikommis to prevent the property from being divided or sold.
The name Lindholm refers to its location on a ridge near a watercourse, typical of Danish manor estates. Today visitors can see how the site bridges traditional farming with contemporary food culture and creative projects.
The estate is located at Abbetvedvej 2 in Roskilde, about 30 kilometers west of Copenhagen. The area is flat and best explored by car or bicycle for a complete view of the grounds.
Today the estate operates as Farm of Ideas, collaborating with chef Christian Puglisi to supply fresh ingredients to Copenhagen restaurants. This partnership connects centuries of farming heritage with contemporary cooking and regular food-focused events.
