Byparken, Public park in Roskilde, Denmark
Byparken extends across 26,495 square meters of grassy terrain between Roskilde Cathedral and the fjord, offering views over the water.
The park was established in 1915 through funding from textile manufacturer O. H. Schmeltz on former agricultural land near the medieval St John Parish.
The sloping grounds near Piper's House transform into an outdoor concert venue, hosting musical performances every Tuesday throughout July.
The park allows free access for non-commercial community events, while commercial activities require payment according to municipal rates.
During winter, the natural slope of the park transforms into a popular sledding location for local residents seeking seasonal recreation.
