Aa Manor, Manor house in Lüganuse Parish, Estonia
The manor house sits near a small pond on the southern coast of the Gulf of Finland. The buildings feature Baltic-German architectural traditions with multi-story structures and a maintained park of around 16 acres (6.5 hectares).
The site first appears in a Danish census from 1241 and the main building was constructed between 1426 and 1487. The current structure took shape in the late 1600s when the building was rebuilt.
The estate shows how German-Baltic families designed and lived on their manor lands. The place reflects the lifestyle of this population group that shaped the region for centuries.
The manor operates as a care facility for elderly and disabled residents and can be viewed from outside. The surrounding park is accessible and offers a peaceful area for walking.
A former garden pavilion was converted into a chapel and still stands on the grounds today. This small building shows how historical structures have been creatively repurposed.
