Oasys MiniHollywood, Film set and theme park in Tabernas Desert, Spain
Oasys MiniHollywood is a film set and theme park in Tabernas Desert, Spain, featuring Western-style buildings, an animal reserve housing 800 specimens, and swimming pools. The complex spreads across desert terrain with saloons, sheriff offices, and log cabins that recall the American frontier era.
Numerous Western films were shot here during the 1960s and 1970s, including The Good, the Bad and the Ugly with Clint Eastwood. After filming ended, the abandoned set was converted into a theme park that remains open today.
Visitors watch daily Western shows in the central square, while can-can dancers perform inside the Yellow Rose Saloon. Traditional Native American tipis stand around the grounds, offering a glimpse into prairie life.
Entrance fees cover all park areas and cost 22.90 euros for adults and 13.60 euros for children aged 4 to 12. Visitors should bring sun protection, as the desert climate gets hot in summer and shade is limited.
The Cinema Museum displays original movie posters and cameras from the first half of the 20th century, documenting the site's contribution to film history. Tucked in one corner sits a 1920s film projector once used in Spanish cinemas.
