Campanar de Gràcia, Clock tower in Vila de Gràcia, Spain

The Campanar de Gràcia is a clock tower standing 33 meters tall in the center of Plaça de la Vila de Gràcia, where it serves as a visual landmark for the neighborhood. Built in an eclectic style, the structure features a working clock mechanism that continues to display time for residents and visitors.

Antoni Rovira i Trias designed this structure in 1871 to serve as a central landmark for the expanding neighborhood. The tower became a defining symbol during the district's growth in the late 1800s.

The tower anchors the neighborhood's social life, serving as a gathering point where residents meet and connect in their daily routines. Its presence shapes how people navigate and experience the district's public spaces and community interactions.

The tower sits in the middle of a public square that is freely accessible and provides clear views of the surrounding neighborhood. The area is open throughout the day and offers plenty of space to walk around and observe the structure from different angles.

The original clock mechanism from 1871 still operates with its core construction largely unchanged over more than 150 years. This continuity makes the tower a rare example of Victorian-era engineering that has not undergone major restoration.
