Puigsagordi

Puigsagordi is a mountain summit in Balenyà composed of sandstone, marl, and conglomerate that create its distinctive rocky profile. The various rock layers are visible along the slopes and give the mountain its characteristic appearance.

The mountain has ancient origins in the human history of the Osona region, as shown by archaeological finds of prehistoric structures. These early traces prove that the area has been inhabited for thousands of years.

The summit attracts visitors who enjoy walking and spending time outdoors in the Balenyà area. Hikers regularly use the marked paths and gather here to take in the views and appreciate the natural surroundings.

Marked hiking trails lead to the summit, and parking areas are available at the base of the mountain. Most visitors arrive in the late morning or early afternoon to allow enough time for the walk.

Since 2007, a via ferrata called Baumes Corcades allows technical climbing on the mountain. This addition made the summit appealing to more adventurous visitors beyond casual hikers.
