Museo de Cerámica de Manises

The Ceramics Museum of Manises occupies a carefully restored 18th-century building holding more than 2,500 objects from different periods. The rooms display how ceramic techniques and styles evolved from early times to the present day.

The museum was established in 1967 after a former residence was converted into an exhibition space. This transformation marked the beginning of an institution dedicated to documenting the rich ceramic tradition of this city.

The collection shows ceramic works from different periods and gives a sense of how local craftspeople developed their techniques over time. You can observe how shapes and decorations changed across centuries and what materials were favored.

The museum is open Tuesday through Saturday from 10 AM to 7 PM and on Sundays from 11 AM to 2 PM. It is best to visit during these hours to ensure all exhibition areas are accessible.

The Gothic portal at the entrance comes from a destroyed palace and was rescued before the original building was consumed by fire. This piece preserves the story of a local family and demonstrates how the museum saved historical artworks.
