Can Busquets

Can Busquets is a two-story farmhouse with a basilical structure, an arched entrance, and a Gothic window on its main facade. The building combines regional and eclectic design elements, showing construction methods from different periods.

The estate began in 1497 when a monk named Miquel Sabater acquired the land and established a base there. In the late 1800s, the building underwent major updates that gave it much of the form we see today.

The building shows how people lived on Catalan farmsteads, blending practical design with handcrafted details found throughout its rooms. Its layout tells the story of household and agricultural work as it was carried out generations ago.

The site is difficult to access due to the condition of the structures, and visitors should exercise caution when exploring. Vegetation covers substantial portions of the building, making some architectural details harder to view clearly.

Next to the main building stands a neogothic chapel with a rectangular shape and three square apses, featuring pointed windows. This small chapel displays crafted details like plaster ornaments that are rarely found at rural sites like this.
