Can Coll

Can Coll is a traditional masia, a rural farmhouse in Cerdanyola del Vallès built with stone walls and wooden beams following Catalonian architectural styles from past centuries. The three-story building displays characteristic features of the region, with thick walls and handcrafted openings that reflect local building practices.

This building emerged several centuries ago as part of a longer development of agricultural estates that grew from Roman villa designs in the Catalonian countryside. The construction methods show how rural housing structures adapted and evolved over generations of use.

The masia follows a traditional layout with animal quarters on the ground floor, living spaces above, and storage areas under the roof, showing how rural farming families organized their daily life. This arrangement reflects how people and animals lived together in the same building for generations.

The building is located within Collserola Natural Park and is accessible via road BV 1415, where it regularly opens for visitor groups and educational programs. It is best reached on foot or by car, and visitors should check opening times in advance before planning a visit.
