Presa y central eléctrica El Salto is a dam and hydroelectric facility on the Guadalquivir River near El Carpio. The installation uses turbines and concrete structures to generate electricity from flowing water.

Construction began in 1922 under architect Casto Fernández-Shaw as a sign of regional industrial development. The project emerged when Spain was investing in modern energy infrastructure.

The site can be viewed from outside, but access to the interior of the facility is limited for safety reasons. Visitors should check beforehand which areas are accessible.
