Platja de la Farella is a sand beach along the Costa Brava with an olive-colored tone and distinctive U-shaped layout. A rock formation in the middle divides the cove into two separate swimming areas.
The name comes from an old fishing technique called 'a l'encesa', where fishermen used lights at night to attract schools of blue fish. This method was central to the local economy for many generations.
The beach serves as a gathering place where traditional fishing heritage and modern recreation coexist in daily use. Locals and travelers both use the water and shore for swimming, fishing, and socializing throughout the year.
