Glasgow Museum of Transport, Transport museum in Partick, Glasgow, Scotland
The modernist zinc-clad building designed by Zaha Hadid houses over 3,000 transport and technology objects at the junction of Rivers Kelvin and Clyde.
The original Glasgow Museum of Transport opened in 1964 at Coplawhill tram depot, relocated to Kelvin Hall in 1988, before moving to its current location in 2011.
The museum displays ship models, locomotives, vintage cars, and trams that represent Glasgow's industrial achievements in manufacturing and transportation throughout different periods.
Located at 100 Pointhouse Road, the museum offers free admission, opens daily from 10 AM to 5 PM, and provides multiple transportation options including train and subway.
Visitors can explore a reconstructed Glasgow street with shops dating from 1895 to the 1980s and board the Tall Ship Glenlee docked outside the museum.
