The Georgian estate includes a main house with extensive gardens, featuring a walled garden, pinetum, Victorian shell grotto, and an orangery with tropical plants.
Edward Wilks, store-keeper of the Royal Powder Mills at Faversham, purchased the land in 1769 and commissioned architect Samuel Wyatt to design the house.
The interior contains three notable collections: military artifacts from the Harris family, paintings by Cazabon, and England's largest private assemblage of timepieces.
The gardens remain accessible daily from 10 AM to 6 PM or dusk, with adult tickets priced at 7 pounds and children under 12 entering free.
The property features a Prospect Tower, originally built as a summerhouse, which visitors can now rent through the Landmark Trust for overnight stays.
