Belmont Park, Urban park in Exeter, England

The five-acre Belmont Park features a basketball court, soccer practice area, and multiple seating zones spread across landscaped grounds between Blackboy Road and Belmont Road.

The park, which opened in 1886, emerged from a former brickfield and cost £1,400 to develop under the Public Health Act of 1875 initiative.

A pageant of traditional English sports and games filled the park during Queen Victoria's Diamond Jubilee celebrations in 1897.

The park includes separate areas for various activities, with a designated dog-free zone and facilities for children of different age groups.

In 1939, Belmont Park established England's first garden designed for visually impaired visitors, featuring numerous fragrant plants in a specialized sensory section.
