Brockwell Lido

Brockwell Lido is an Art Deco outdoor swimming pool located in Brockwell Park. The Olympic-sized basin is surrounded by a broad concrete deck, with changing facilities that retain their original architectural features from 1937.

The facility replaced a former bathing pond in 1937, designed by architects Harry Rowbotham and T.L. Smithson in Moderne style. The architectural significance of the building was later recognized and formally acknowledged.
