Church of St Mary the Virgin, Halkyn, Gothic Revival parish church in Halkyn, Wales.
Church of St Mary the Virgin is a Gothic Revival stone building with a slate roof and decorative crosses located in Halkyn. The structure features dressed snecked stone walls and serves an active Anglican parish with regular worship services.
The building was constructed by architect John Douglas between 1877 and 1878, replacing an earlier church on the site. Several elements from the previous structure were incorporated into the new design.
The interior features colorful stained glass windows by Heaton, Butler & Bayne showing scenes from the New Testament. These artworks shape how light fills the space and how visitors experience the interior.
The church is open during regular Anglican services and is maintained under the Diocese of St Asaph. Memorial tablets inside date to the 18th century and can be seen throughout the interior.
The northeast tower contains a crucifixion panel from a 14th-century churchyard cross set into its south buttress. This fragment from an earlier time was deliberately built into the new structure.
