Compton Place, English country house in Eastbourne, United Kingdom.

The building includes a main house, offices, and a courtyard stable block, featuring formal gardens with a circular lawn and wooded grounds.

Originally named Bourne Place, the estate was acquired by James Burton in 1544 and later rebuilt for Sir Spencer Compton with designs by Colen Campbell.

The Grade I listed complex represents early 18th century English architecture with modifications made during Lord George Cavendish's ownership between 1782 and 1843.

Located on the western edge of Eastbourne, about 1 kilometer from the coast, the property sits at the east end of a valley by the South Downs.

The gardens contain elements from designers Charles Bridgeman and Lancelot Brown, with Humphry Repton creating unexecuted proposals documented in his Red Book.
