Helen's Tower, Grade A listed folly tower in Conlig, County Down, Northern Ireland
The 60-foot stone tower features dark blackstone walls, corbelled corner turrets, and a round stair tower protruding from one corner of its square plan.
Built between 1848 and 1861 by the 5th Lord Dufferin and Clandeboye, the tower stands as a tribute to his mother Helen and functions as a shrine for poetry.
The tower's Scottish Baronial architecture includes Gothic interior elements, oak paneling, and ornate wooden ceilings reflecting the Dufferin family's Scottish heritage.
The tower operates as a self-catering accommodation for two adults, equipped with a fitted kitchen, reading room, and electric heating system.
The Ulster Tower in Thiepval, France, was constructed in 1921 as an exact replica to memorialize the 36th Ulster Division's World War I participation.
