Palace Theatre, Swansea
Palace Theatre, Swansea, Victorian theatre in Castle district, Swansea, United Kingdom
The Palace Theatre stands as a six-floor Grade II listed building featuring cast iron balconies and original Ebbw Vale brick construction.
Constructed in 1888, the Palace Theatre operated as a performance venue, cinema, bingo hall, and nightclub throughout different periods of its existence.
The building incorporates preserved architectural elements from its Victorian era, including decorative ironwork and restored floor tiles from its original construction.
Following a £6.9 million renovation, the theatre now functions as a modern workspace with coworking areas, private offices, and meeting rooms managed by Tramshed Tech.
The original theatre stage remains intact and serves as an event space and collaborative area for technology and creative businesses.
