Raymond Revuebar, Strip club in Walker's Court, Soho, United Kingdom
The Raymond Revuebar operated at 11 Walker's Court, featuring multiple performances each night with both female and male dancers on stage.
Paul Raymond established this venue in 1958 as Britain's first strip club, transforming the former Doric Ballroom into a members-only entertainment establishment.
The upstairs Boulevard Theatre section launched careers of numerous British comedians during the 1980s, including Eddie Izzard and Steve Coogan.
The original building now functions as The Box Soho, continuing the tradition of late-night entertainment in London's West End district.
The club accumulated 45,000 members within two years of opening, generating over half a million pounds during its first decade of operation.
