The church features a wide three-bay nave without aisles, constructed in yellow and red ashlar sandstone with stone roofs and angular buttresses.
Built around 1450, the nave walls were made of limestone in 1430, while the chancel and tower were constructed of pink sandstone in 1480.
The church holds regular services using the 1662 Book of Common Prayer, with sung Eucharist taking place three Sundays per month at 10 am.
Located at Church Lane in Gawsworth, Macclesfield SK11 9RJ, the church remains open daily from 8 am until dusk for visitors and prayer.
The nave roof, featuring a barrel beam design, maintains traces of its original coloring and gilt after five centuries of existence.
