St John's Church, Burwardsley

St John's Church is an Anglican parish church built from buff sandstone with a three-part nave, a single-section chancel, and a side chapel. A covered entrance on the south side and a bell turret are distinctive features of the exterior.

The building originates from the 17th century and underwent extensive renovation in 1871 when architect John Douglas added the bell turret. This restoration significantly reshaped the structure.

The church serves as a gathering place for the local community and hosts regular Anglican worship. It functions as a focal point for life events and celebrations within the parish.
