Solent Sky, Aviation museum in Southampton, England
The Solent Sky Museum exhibits 20 aircraft from World War II and the early 1900s, including the Supermarine S6 and multiple flying boats.
From 1910 to 1960, Southampton housed 26 aircraft manufacturers, becoming a central hub for aviation development and research in Great Britain.
The museum preserves the heritage of Hampshire's aviation industry through educational programs, aircraft displays, and technical demonstrations for different generations.
Visitors can explore the museum daily from 10:00 to 17:00 on weekdays and Saturdays, with Sunday hours from 12:00 to 17:00.
The facility incorporates a restored 1914 Calshot Spit lightship, which now functions as the museum cafe after serving maritime traffic for 73 years.
