St Paul's Church, Over Tabley, Gothic Revival church in Over Tabley, England.
St Paul's Church is a house of worship near Knutsford built with sandstone walls, slate roofs, and features of Early English architectural style. The building displays typical Gothic Revival characteristics with careful proportions and skillful craftsmanship in its details.
Architect Anthony Salvin designed the church in 1855, and following a fire that same year, it was restored and reopened in 1856. This swift repair shows the community's determination to restore its place of worship.
The interior features a rood screen from 1908 by F. H. Crossley decorated with carvings of local animals tied to the Langford-Brooke family. These wooden carvings reflect the people who shaped this place over time.
The building sits beside the B5569 road and hosts regular worship services as well as monthly Coffee and Chat sessions on the second Wednesday at 10:30. Visitors should check ahead to see if advance notice is needed.
In the churchyard stands a distinctive chest tomb of Henry Langford-Brooke, designed in 1909 by Macdonald and Eric Gill with a stylized tree motif. This artwork blends craftsmanship with personal remembrance in an unforgettable way.
