St Peter's Church, Fleetwood, Anglican parish church in Fleetwood, England.
St Peter's Church is an Anglican place of worship in Fleetwood built from grey stone with red sandstone details and pointed arch windows along its sides. An iron fence surrounds the building and defines its boundary.
The foundation stone was laid in 1839 by Sir Peter Hesketh-Fleetwood and construction finished in 1841 under architect Decimus Burton's direction. The original spire, funded by Anna-Maria Hesketh, was removed in 1904 for structural safety reasons.
The church serves as a gathering place for Fleetwood's residents and remains central to local spiritual life. Visitors can observe how the community gathers here to practice their faith and maintain their traditions.
The church is located on Adelaide Street and is easy to reach on foot. Visitors should note that the building is surrounded by a fence and access outside of services may be limited.
The church lacks the original spire that once topped the building and was one of its most recognizable features. This change shows how structures adapt over time to remain safe.
