St Mary's Church, Wilton, Medieval church structure in Market Place, Wilton, England
The remaining sections of St Mary's Church include a chancel, one bay of the nave, and fragments of both north and south arcades.
Initially constructed in 1401, the church underwent partial demolition when a new parish church was built nearby in 1845, leaving only specific sections standing.
The church features an eighteenth-century ceiling and contains numerous memorial stones that document the lives of Wilton's past residents through the centuries.
Located three miles west of Salisbury, the church offers convenient parking in the market square and includes stone-level pathways for accessibility.
The site maintains historical connections to Bishop Robert de Bingham, who was consecrated in an earlier church at this location before completing Salisbury Cathedral.
