St Mary's Church, Windermere

The church features slate stone walls with sandstone accents, separate roofs over the north and south aisles, and a central tower at the crossing point.

Originally built as a chapel in 1847, the building underwent multiple expansions, including the addition of a south aisle in 1852 and north aisle in 1858.

The interior displays architectural elements from different periods, including pointed arches in the north arcade and round arches in the south arcade.

St Mary's Church maintains regular Anglican services and welcomes visitors to explore its architectural features and historical elements throughout the week.

Following a fire in 1988 that destroyed the nave roof, the church underwent complete restoration work, leading to its current structural configuration.
