St Mungo's Church, Bromfield

St Mungo's Church features red sandstone walls, a sandstone slate roof, and twin bellcotes on both the west and east gables of the structure.

The church dates from 1150, with later additions in the following centuries and underwent major restoration works between 1861 and 1894.

The church contains a 12th-century font, medieval cross fragments, and numerous memorial plaques from the 18th and 19th centuries within its walls.

The building maintains its role as an active Anglican parish church in the deanery of Solway and the diocese of Carlisle.

A holy well with a circular sandstone wellhead and conical stone cap from 1878 stands north of the church building.
