Totnes Guildhall, Tudor town hall in Totnes, England
The Guildhall features traditional stone architecture with detailed woodwork across multiple levels, including a council chamber and former prison cells.
Built in 1553 on a former priory site, the Grade I listed building served as a magistrates' court and meeting place for over four centuries.
The Lower Hall displays golden boards listing more than 600 mayors who have served Totnes since 1359, representing local governance traditions.
Tours of the Guildhall operate Monday through Friday from 11:00 to 15:00 between April and October, offering access to historical rooms and exhibitions.
The council chamber contains the original table where military leader Oliver Cromwell conducted meetings during the English Civil War in 1646.
