Built in the early 18th century, Poltimore House served as the residence of the Hext family until 1951, when it entered a period of decline following Lady Hext's death.
The Poltimore House Trust organizes art exhibitions, community gatherings, and educational programs within the historic walls of this Devon architectural monument.
Visitors can access the house during scheduled open days, markets, and workshops, with the property located on the outskirts of Exeter in Devon.
Following an arson attack in April 2024, the house maintains its structural integrity while undergoing restoration efforts supported by dedicated local volunteers.
