Riverside Museum, Transport museum at Glasgow Harbour, Scotland.
The facility presents around 3,000 transport and technology objects within an angular zinc-clad structure designed by architect Zaha Hadid and completed in 2011 along the Clyde waterfront.
The facility opened in 2011 on the former A. & J. Inglis Shipyard grounds, succeeding the previous transport collection housed in Kelvin Hall since the 1960s.
The collections document Glasgow's role as a shipbuilding and engineering center through vehicles, locomotives and everyday objects spanning from the 18th century to the present, tracing the social development of the city over time.
Admission remains free daily, with opening hours from 10 AM to 5 PM Monday through Saturday and 11 AM to 5 PM on Sundays. The facility is wheelchair accessible and located roughly 2 miles (3 kilometers) west of downtown.
A South African Railways Class 15F locomotive numbered 3007, manufactured in 1945 by North British Locomotive Company and weighing 150 tons, stands within the main exhibition area of the facility.
