Shirburn Castle, Medieval castle in Shirburn, England.

The rectangular fortified structure stands three stories high with rounded corner towers and features a tall central gate tower on its west front.

Constructed in 1377 by architect Henry Yevele for Warin de Lisle, the castle underwent substantial renovations after Thomas Parker acquired it in 1716.

The castle contained an important library with Caxton editions and Isaac Newton letters until 2004, when the 9th Earl of Macclesfield departed.

The castle remains in private ownership under the Macclesfield family company and does not offer public access, with no roads passing directly by it.

The castle houses an early 18th-century staircase with carved balusters and a vaulted entrance hall converted from a former armory in the 19th century.
