Sevenoaks Wildlife Reserve, Wildlife refuge in Sevenoaks, England.
The reserve encompasses 73 hectares with five lakes, woodlands, ponds, seasonally flooded pools, grasslands, and reedbeds through which the River Darent flows.
The site initiated a nationwide transformation as the first gravel pit converted into a nature reserve, developed by the Harrison family after industrial excavation ceased.
The Jeffery Harrison Visitor Centre introduces thousands of guests annually to environmental education through displays about local biodiversity and conservation methods.
The reserve remains open from dawn until dusk daily, with parking fees of £2.50 on weekdays and £3.50 during weekends.
Over two thousand species inhabit the reserve, including rare waders such as greenshanks, green sandpipers, and a nesting colony of sand martins.
