Thoresby College features exposed wooden beams throughout its interior and contains multiple halls arranged around a central courtyard with brick walls.
Thomas Thoresby, a merchant and three-time Mayor of King's Lynn, established this residence in 1508 to house thirteen chantry priests of Trinity Guild.
The structure maintains its original Tudor-period architectural elements, including decorative brickwork and a Dutch gable front that exemplifies regional building traditions.
The west range of the building contains two halls available for public events, while other sections house offices and residential apartments.
The college's great door displays intricate parchemin panels that demonstrate the sophisticated woodworking techniques of sixteenth-century English craftsmen.
