The Roses Theatre contains a 375-seat auditorium equipped with both digital projection systems and facilities for hosting live theatrical performances.
Construction began in 1973 on the former Sabrina Cinema site, where workers discovered Roman remains that required a six-month archaeological investigation.
The theatre maintains a diverse program featuring drama productions, comedy shows, musical performances, dance events, opera presentations, and film screenings throughout the year.
The facility includes Eric's Bar for pre-show refreshments, while the main entrance provides wheelchair access and assistance for visitors with mobility requirements.
This venue witnessed the final performance of comedian Eric Morecambe in May 1984, leading to the dedication of a conference room in his name.
