Church of St Paul with St Luke, Rock Ferry

The Church of St Paul with St Luke is a Gothic Revival structure built with red sandstone walls, a powerful tower, and Welsh slate roofing. Inside, the space features an aisleless nave divided by pointed arches into three bays, creating a straightforward and unified interior layout.

The building was constructed in 1855 following designs by architects W. and J. Hay as an Anglican church. It received Grade II listed building status from Historic England in 1974.

The interior displays stained glass windows showing scenes from the lives of saints and an octagonal marble font decorated with relief angels. These elements shape how visitors experience the sacred space inside.

The church maintains a community hall for events and activities on the grounds. Regular religious services are held throughout the week, making it an active place of worship for local visitors.

The interior features a chancel screen installed in 1910 that separates the altar area from the main nave. This later addition shows how the space was refined after the church's initial construction.
