St Peter's Church, Ropsley, Medieval church in Ropsley, England.

St Peter's Church is a medieval limestone structure with a west-facing tower topped by a spire, double aisles, and a south porch accented with stone pinnacles. The building displays characteristic English Gothic details throughout its design.

The building originated around 1050 and still preserves Saxon-era stonework in its nave from that early period. Norman craftsmen subsequently added additional architectural elements.

Two war memorials inside honor fallen soldiers and an RAF sergeant through a stained glass window depiction. These remembrances show how the community has preserved the memory of those lost in conflict.

The site is fairly remote and requires careful planning to visit, as public transportation connections are limited in the area. It is best visited during daylight hours to fully appreciate the interior details and decorations.

Richard Foxe, founder of Corpus Christi College Oxford, funded the south porch construction in 1483 while serving as bishop. This connection to a major academic institution makes the building a rare example of episcopal patronage in a small English village.
