Wydale Hall, Grade II listed house in Snainton, England
Wydale Hall stands as a three-story residence with classic architectural features, situated near the North York Moors National Park overlooking the Vale of Pickering.
The Cayley family constructed the oldest section of Wydale Hall around 1790, with subsequent expansions in 1877 adding a main hall, drawing room, and ballroom.
The hall functions as a Christian conference center managed by the Diocese of York, providing spaces for religious retreats and community gatherings since 1952.
Located just off the A170 road, the property includes 14 acres of woodland, terraced lawns, a walled garden, and converted stables for accommodating groups.
George Cayley, a pioneer in aviation, used the valley in front of Wydale Hall to conduct early flight experiments starting in 1853.
