All Saints Church, Leek, Grade I listed Anglican church in Leek, England.
All Saints Church is an Anglican church in Leek featuring a massive crossing tower, a wide central nave flanked by aisles, and a deep northwest porch with a pointed arched entrance. The structure combines traditional church design with refined architectural details from the Victorian period.
The building was completed in 1887 following designs by architect Richard Norman Shaw and unified elements from the parishes of St Luke and St Edward. This consolidation of communities prompted the creation of a major new structure for the area.
The interior displays stained glass windows created by Morris and Co in the 1890s alongside painted walls depicting biblical scenes. Visitors can observe these artworks while walking through the spaces and notice the craftsmanship in the decoration.
The church is located on Southbank Street in Leek with easy access from the main entrance. Regular worship services and community gatherings take place here, so it is worth checking availability before planning your visit.
The baptismal font was designed by Lethaby in 1886 and features a green marble octagonal basin with carved lettering and symbols representing the four evangelists. This crafted piece often goes unnoticed but rewards close attention from visitors examining the finer details.
