Millichope Park, Listed country house and garden in Munslow, England
Millichope Park is a Greek Revival country house with two storeys and a five-window front, crowned by a portico with six Ionic columns. The estate spreads across 90 hectares of landscaped parkland containing various architectural and natural features.
The house was built between 1835 and 1840 by architect Edward Haycock for Reverend Norgrave Pemberton, who was rector of Church Stretton. The structure and grounds have been maintained by successive owners since that time.
The memorial temple on the grounds features a lead dome and references the More family's long ties to the estate. This connection appears throughout the rooms and gardens in various details.
The estate is accessible with pathways through extensive gardens and parkland to explore. Visitors should wear weather-appropriate clothing and allow time for a leisurely walk around the grounds.
The estate contains rare curved glasshouses from the 1830s that current owners Frank and Antonia Bury are working to restore. These structures show building techniques that are seldom seen today.
