Regéc Castle

Regéc Castle is a ruin in the Zemplén Mountains and features preserved stone walls, towers, and foundations from different building periods. The site extends across multiple levels and provides insight into the construction methods and layout of a medieval fortress.

The fortress was founded around 1300 and served as a strategic stronghold for local lords. It lost its purpose in 1686 when imperial forces destroyed the site.
