Foxhall Newydd stands on a hillside at 162 meters elevation, featuring limestone walls with sandstone details in an H-shaped architectural layout.
The construction of this grand residence began in 1592 under John Panton of Denbigh, though financial limitations prevented the completion of the entire structure.
The surviving section contains intricate plasterwork and fireplace details that demonstrate the high standards of Welsh craftsmanship in the Elizabethan period.
The ruins of Foxhall Newydd sit 1 kilometer southeast of Henllan village, accessible through a track extending west from the Foxhall settlement.
Only the left cross-wing of the mansion reached completion, yet this section received full interior finishing and maintained a formal garden arrangement.
