Karspitze

Karspitze rises to an elevation of 2,517 meters, featuring multiple hiking trails that wind through alpine meadows and natural rock formations.

The mountain paths developed from ancient trading routes between Italian and German-speaking communities, connecting different valleys across South Tyrol.

Local mountain huts along the trails serve traditional South Tyrolean dishes, including homemade cheeses and dumplings produced by regional farmers.

The standard hiking route from Gostnerhof covers 10.8 kilometers with 1,085 meters elevation gain, requiring approximately 5.5 hours to complete.

The summit provides access to both the Zirmaitalm and Steinwiesalm alpine pastures, where cattle graze freely during summer months.
