Castel Belasi

Castel Belasi is a granite fortress built on a hilltop near Campodenno, surrounded by high defensive walls and coniferous trees. The structure sits at approximately 465 meters in elevation and occupies a commanding position in the landscape.

The castle first appears in written records during the 14th century as a fortified structure. In 1368, the Khuen family from the nearby area took control and made it their primary residence.

The interior decorations feature detailed stucco work and ceramic stoves from the 18th century that show how people of that period chose to furnish their homes. Walking through the rooms, you notice the care taken in these craft details.

You can walk through the castle on your own, and an audio guide is available at the entrance to help you understand the layout. The site opens only on weekends, so plan your visit accordingly.

A pentagonal tower contains a room accessed by a spiral staircase with views across the valley toward other castles in the region. This vantage point served a practical purpose for those who once lived here.
