Monte Galbiga

Monte Galbiga is a mountain summit in Lombardy reaching 1,698 meters and forms a natural ridge dividing Lake Como from Lake Lugano in northern Italy. The peak is reached by hiking trails that pass through larch forest and take several hours to complete.

The mountain contains remnants of the Cadorna Line with preserved military trenches and fortifications from World War I. These structures show the strategic importance of this mountain area during the war years.
