Conegliano Museum

Conegliano Museum occupies a medieval tower and presents paintings, frescoes, and archaeological finds from different periods arranged across several floors. The collections document the artistic heritage and historical development of the local area.

The tower itself was built during the Middle Ages as a fortification and served to protect the city. In the 20th century the structure was transformed into a museum to make the area's artistic and archaeological heritage accessible to the public.

The exhibition spaces display religious frescoes and works by local and regional artists from past centuries that shaped the artistic traditions of this area. These pieces reflect the creative exchanges and artistic movements that influenced the community over time.

Access is through the castle grounds in the old town with the entrance clearly marked for visitors. Wear comfortable shoes as the narrow staircases inside the medieval tower are steep and numerous.

The archaeological collection contains rare fossils from prehistoric times including tooth remains thousands of years old. Such objects reveal that the region was settled long before historical records began.
