Riserva regionale Lago Laudemio, Regional nature reserve in Lagonegro, Italy.
The reserve encompasses a glacial lake situated at 1,525 meters altitude within the Sirino-Papa mountain range of the Lucanian Apennines.
The reserve gained official protected status in 1985 through a regional decree, marking a commitment to preserve its natural environment.
The area contains evidence of early human settlements in Basilicata and maintains numerous ancient animal fossil deposits within its boundaries.
Visitors can access marked trails, wooden fencing, information panels, and the Rifugio Italia shelter while exploring the protected grounds.
This location holds the distinction of being the southernmost glacial lake in Italy, surrounded by beech and alder forests.
