Santuario dell'Amore Misericordioso

The church features a modern design with a flat facade incorporating a portico, large windows, and a 46-meter bell tower with a cross-shaped terminal.

Construction of the sanctuary began in 1953 under Spanish architect Julio Lafuente, with the upper church consecrated in 1965 and the complex completed in 1974.

Pope John Paul II elevated the sanctuary to the status of minor basilica during his visit on November 22, 1981, celebrating mass in this spiritual center.

The sanctuary provides pilgrim accommodation at Casa del Pellegrino and includes pools for water rituals, with regular religious ceremonies throughout the year.

The crypt houses the tomb of founder Mother Speranza of Jesus Alhama Valera, who established the sanctuary after receiving divine guidance in 1951.
