Dosso di Lavedo, Summit in Lenno, Italy.
Dosso di Lavedo is a hill on a peninsula jutting into Lake Como, rising to about 329 meters above the lake surface. It has a local prominence of roughly 109 meters and forms part of the Lugano Prealps mountain range.
The hill forms part of a mountain range that has served for centuries as a natural boundary between different regions and settlements. The Lugano Prealps have shaped how Lenno and surrounding villages relate to their landscape and to the lake.
The name comes from local terms describing the hillsides that frame Lake Como. From this vantage point, you can see how the slopes drop toward the water and village, and how the path serves as a route people take to catch their breath.
A marked hiking trail leads to the summit, and the route is walkable year-round, though snow may change conditions in winter. Sturdy footwear is advisable, and the clearest views come during dry, clear weather.
The hill connects to neighboring peaks through a saddle pass between them, forming part of a route that traverses multiple elevations. These connections allow hikers to explore several hilltops in one outing and walk a loop route.
