Domus Australia is a guest house with 32 contemporary rooms located in the Castro Pretorio area of Rome. Each room features a flat-screen television, mini-refrigerator, and electric kettle.
The Catholic Church of Australia carried out a multi-year renovation of the building, which Pope Benedict XVI officially opened in October 2011. This project created a new space for the Australian Catholic community in Rome.
The Cardinal Moran dining room serves meals in an Italian cloister setting where guests gather to eat together. Dining happens in the morning and evening, creating moments for connection among visitors.
The location is within walking distance of Termini Station, about 12 minutes away. Check-in begins after 2:00 PM, and checkout must happen before 10:30 AM.
Within the building stands the Chapel of Saint Peter Chanel, where English-language Mass takes place each day. This chapel seats around 150 people and hosts daily prayer services.
